Use of ORGANIC GINGER
Tea: Add ¼ teaspoon of ginger powder to a cup of boiling water. Cover until cool enough to drink. Sweeten with honey as desired.
Steam Inhalation/Therapy (TUOB): Boil a mixture of ginger + lemon in a pot. You may add essential oils. Remove from heat. Place pot in a flat surface. Cover your whole body with a blanket to ensure the steam won’t pass out, but be careful of the heat. Inhale steam (vapor) coming out the pot. Do this method for 5 to 10 minutes. [This process will make you sweat. Your first home remedy against COVID-19.]
Hot compress: Make tea. Soak a piece of washcloth in it until saturated. Wring out. Place on the painful area. Cover with towel, then a heating pad or hot water bottle. Another towel. Leave on for 20 minutes. Repeat if needed. [Compress or fomentation is very helpful for painful joints, muscle sprains or stomach aches.]
Foot bath: Boil 2 liters, then add 2 tablespoons of ginger and 2 pinch of sea salt. Let this cool a bit before pouring into a basin or tub that will fit your feet comfortably. (For first-timers, start with a smaller amount of ginger then work your way up.) Soak feet for 10 – 20 minutes at a time. [Helpful for persons with diabetic neuropathy. It helps warm up and stimulate the entire body by increasing circulation to the feet and legs.]
